Walnut and Goat Cheese Topped Crackers

  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp orange juice
  • 1/2 cup crumbled goat cheese
  • 1 Tbsp minced fresh chives
  • 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
  • Whole grain crackers


  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Bake walnuts at 350° for 6 minutes, stirring after 3 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Combine honey, balsamic vinegar, and orange juice in a small saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil over high heat and cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Once the walnuts have cooled, add to goat cheese and stir until evenly mixed.
  5. Top whole grain crackers with a spoonful of the walnut and goat cheese mixture. Drizzle the honey vinegar mixture on top, and sprinkle with chives and pepper.
