Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 3 cups sweet cherries, pitted
  • 1 tsp. freshly grated orange zest
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1 qt. vanilla nonfat frozen yogurt

  1. In a small saucepan combine sugar and cornstarch. Stir in orange juice and 1/4 cup water. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and smooth, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add cherries, orange zest and vanilla; bring to boiling. Reduce heat; simmer 10 minutes.
  3. Spoon frozen yogurt into individual dessert dishes. Top with cherries and sauce, and serve.
