Ingredients

  • 2 tsp. mild chili powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 lbs. London broil (top round steak)

  1. In a small bowl combine chili powder, salt, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme and pepper. Rub meat with seasoning mixture, and place in a large resealable plastic bag. Seal bag and refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat broiler. Coat broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray. Remove meat from bag and place on broiler pan. Broil 6 inches from heat source 6 minutes. Turn and broil 4 to 5 minutes more (145°F for medium-rare) or to desired doneness. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
