- Cut thin slits in beef; insert garlic slivers. Coat beef evenly with garlic pepper, marjoram and onion powder. In a large skillet or Dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat. Add beef; cook 5 minutes or until evenly browned.
- Place onion, roast and pan drippings into a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker; set aside. Add gravy to skillet; cook and stir, scraping up any browned bits, until heated. Add mushrooms to slow cooker. Pour gravy over beef and mushrooms.
- Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours or until beef is tender. Stir in green onions. Slice the beef, and serve with gravy.
