Sizzling NY Strip Steaks

  • 4 Tender Ridge Angus sirloin strip steaks (New York strip steaks)
  • 2 tbsp steak sauce
  • 4 1/2 tsp fresh thyme, minced
  • 1/4 tsp coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt


  1. In a small bowl, combine steak sauce, thyme, pepper and cayenne.
  2. Sprinkle steaks on both sides with salt. Spoon about 2 teaspoons steak sauce mixture over one side of each steak.
  3. Place steaks, sauce side down, on grill over medium, ash-covered coals.
  4. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 6 minutes.
  5. Brush steaks with remaining sauce, and turn over.
  6. Continue to grill 4 to 6 minutes or until the steaks reach 145°F on an internal meat thermometer for medium doneness.
  7. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
