- In a large skillet cook and stir ground beef, Italian sausage, onion and garlic until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain.
- Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, 2 tablespoons of parsley, sugar, 1 teaspoon of the salt and basil. Bring to boiling; stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 35 to 45 minutes or until mixture thickens.
- Preheat oven to 350Â°F. In a large bowl combine ricotta cheese, spreadable herb cheese, eggs, 1â?2 cup of the Parmesan cheese, remaining 1 tablespoon parsley flakes, remaining 1 teaspoon salt and oregano.
- Reserve 1â?2 cup of the meat sauce. Spread one-fourth of the remaining meat sauce in the bottom of an ungreased 9x13-inch baking pan. Top with one-fourth of the mozzarella, one-fourth of the noodles and one-fourth of the cheese mixture. Repeat layers three more times. Spread reserved 1â?2 cup meat sauce over top; sprinkle with remaining Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses. Bake uncovered 40 to 45 minutes.
