Ingredients

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 6 pork loin chops, 1/2-inch thick
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil

  1. Place garlic, bay leaf, oregano, salt, pepper, cumin and lime juice in a blender or food processor; blend to make a paste.
  2. Rub chops with spice paste, and place in a glass dish. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Pat chops with paper towels. Add chops to skillet to brown; cook 4 minutes per side or until no longer pink (160°F for medium). Serve hot.
